Description
This is a BRAND NEW Vito's Performance oversized intake airbox boot for your Yamaha Blaster
This is designed to use an oversized 33mm or 35mm carb on your Blaster and still use the factory airbox/rear fender uncut.
Fits any year Yamaha Blaster: 1988-2006
This 2 piece unit is made of 3D printed RUBBER - still plenty flexible for easy installation (not rigid like the competition)
You do not need to wreck or damage your plastic to install
Please note: the photos show an aftermarket carb and the stock intake for comparison purposes, neither of those 2 items are included in the listing - you get just the intake boot!
Tips for an easier install:
Remove rear fender.
Remove factory air filter cage.
Unbolt factory under ring to remove inner ring and boot.
You may find it easier to shave out some of the fender area to allow clearance for the new intake.
To do this, take just take the inner outer ring and loosely hold them together on the fender. From underneath, trace the outer ring. Then cut off the tracing line. This will allow extra room but not affect anything even if you went back to factory boot.
Now you reinstall as you removed.
If you are paranoid like me, it wouldn't hurt to add a sealer under the new boot and under the inner ring.
Make sure your inner ring fully inserts into the new boot (there are pegs that insert through with the bolts attatched)
The airbox is sealed from the inside, the outside is just to secure.
Now it is a good idea to attach the carb adapter while the fender is off, and also a good idea to add a sealer inside the lock. RTV or Case Bond would be fine, just make sure you fully attach the fender and carb to get everything aligned before it cures. They are 2 piece only for manufacturing ease and sizing, once installed, they can stay permanently attached as 1 piece boot.
