Installing the Aluminum Pro Flow Adapter Kit
If you're ditching the stock airbox lid for better throttle response, the aluminum Pro Flow Adapter Kit is the clean way to do it. It replaces the restrictive stock lid setup with a direct-flow aluminum adapter that mounts your filter right to the airbox opening.
Here's how to get it installed correctly.
- Pull the seat and rear fender to access the airbox.
- Remove the stock lid and disconnect the boot from the carb inlet.
- Clean the airbox opening thoroughly. Any leftover grit here defeats the purpose.
- Mount the aluminum Pro Flow Adapter to the airbox using the supplied hardware and gasket.
- Torque the mounting bolts evenly to avoid warping the adapter or cracking the airbox flange.
- Slide your filter of choice onto the adapter and secure the clamp.

- Reinstall the fender and seat, then double-check clearance around the adapter.
