We here at Vito's Performance have been designing and manufacturing crankshaft assembly's for many years. We have taken our vast experience of crankshaft design and applied it to the RD250. We felt there was a need for an updated crankshaft for this bike.

This is a brand new assembly it is not re-manufactured.



We brought the old RD style crank webs up to a more modern day design. We have lightened the webs slightly by reducing some of the mass of the old stock webs, this should help with better throttle response. All the center to center distances have not been changed we just reduced some of the rotating mass. The center webs are keyed so they can't twist out of phase. We uséd high quality upper and lower silver caged rod bearings. We also upgraded the inner and outer crank bearing design and uséd TPI bearings with oring grooves to help support the bearings against the mating surface of the cases.(This is a very common design concept in the Yamaha Banshee crankshaft world and has proven to be very durable over the years). The rods are high quality and are a very similar design to our Yamaha banshee rods which have stood up to very very high horsepower and RPM's with absolutely no problems at all.
